80,000,000,000,000 garments are manufactured worldwide every year.
Only 1% of fabrics are recycled into new clothing. The use of polyester is sometimes necessary for certain types of clothing. Recycled polyester is part of the solution to the problem of plastic pollution.
CONCEPT
REMADE NEW
GOOD FABRICS
Good Fabric has been developing all types of recycled fiber fabrics for a long time and we are working on the traceability of these chains. Recycled fibers are composed of post-industrial cutting waste, recycled PET bottles and finished mesh products.
The environmental impact is greatly reduced thanks to low water consumption (unlike cotton for example), no dyeing process and a positive impact on CO2 emissions.
MADE HOW
REMADE IN FRANCE
Behind the awareness, there is the responsibility: it is to realize that every garment we throw away has a value and can be recycled, especially when we know that we produce 40% more garments in the world than we did 20 years ago.
One project we are currently working on is to re-establish a chain of used clothing, sorting, recycling and knitting in France. A 100% French circular economy is possible!
According to a study carried out by Google and Nelly Rodi, the post Millenials place ethics and sustainable development in the top 3 of their main expectations for brands.
43% of French people bought second-hand clothing in 2017
65% say they pay attention to the fibers that make up their clothing
12 KG of clothes thrown away each year per French citizen
